In 1984, Gianni and Susi Della Corte opened doors to La Dolce Vita in the small building previously occupied by Provo Bakery. The original restaurant featured a bar area with a few surrounding tables and a maximum capacity of 30 people.
In 1991, La Dolce Vita purchased the building next door (previously a hair school academy) and expanded to the current full-sized restaurant with capacity of 150 people.
In 2003, ownership switched families from the Della Corte's to the Garcia' s. Current Chefs, Mario and Mimi, are extended family of Della Corte Family.
Mario and Mimi have been behind the scenes cooking the food since 1988.
